Plot

In the mysterious undercurrent of a seemingly ordinary train departure, a man unintentionally ends the life of his beloved, leaving her lifeless form on the deserted rear platform. His actions are unseen by all but one - a freckle-faced boy with a knack for mischief who is lurking in the shadows of the otherwise empty station. As fate would have it, the stranger finds himself stranded in the town following an encounter with the local newspaper editor who informs him of a washed-out bridge. He is led, as if by an unseen hand, to a boarding house that, of all places, is the dwelling of the boy who may recognize him. In the claustrophobic confines of the boarding house, tension simmers as the newcomer contemplates silencing the young boy forever. Meanwhile, a seductive blonde resident, privy to the man's murderous secret, finds herself drawn to the danger he represents, contemplating a reckless escape with him. This small town becomes a brewing pot of intrigue and suspicion, where escape is impossible and hidden truths lurk beneath the surface of every interaction.
