Plot
As the summer sun blankets Chicago, it sparks an electrifying wave of celebrations, encounters, and unforgettable moments that underscore the youth experience. Yet, for Kurt and Paul, two youthful denizens of Boystown, their memories are shrouded in a veil of regret. Their tranquil existence, characterized by Kurt's entrepreneurial endeavors in cannabis and Paul's unassuming job at the local grocery store, is soon to be disrupted.
Their relationship, steady for two years, begins to unravel, thread by thread, as Kurt encounters Kevin, an intriguing stranger, at a party. Despite his initial resistance, Kurt succumbs to Kevin's allure, their connection deepening over shared joints. As Kurt is swept up in the whirlwind of temptation, he succumbs to self-destruction, his desires leading him astray.
In a twist of fate, Kurt abruptly ends his relationship with Paul, triggering a harrowing descent into loneliness and anguish for the man he leaves behind. Kurt, on the other hand, immerses himself in a hedonistic lifestyle of relentless partying, drug use, and fleeting encounters, in a hollow attempt to reignite the spark lost from his relationship with Paul.
However, the spark remains elusive. Kurt's downward spiral reaches a chilling climax when he is mugged, leaving him isolated and vulnerable. He seeks solace in the arms of Paul, only to find that Paul has moved on. Bereft of direction and companionship, Kurt fruitlessly attempts to mend the love he once had, only to face the harsh reality of failure.
