Set amidst the turbulence of the Ming Dynasty, four orphaned comrades - Ying, Sao, Yuanlong, and Niehu - are nurtured in the tranquil haven of Taoyuan Village, their bonds hardened by shared hardships and their exceptional martial prowess. As they're transported to Hong Kong for further study, an unexpected accident thaws Ying out of his frozen slumber. He awakens into a world unrecognizable, where skyscrapers touch the skies and technology reigns. A chance encounter with May, a spirited and intoxicatingly free-spirited woman, offers Ying shelter and a guide in this bewildering new world. As he navigates the maze of modern society with the help of the internet, a spark ignites between them, warming the winter of his solitude. Yet, the shadow of his past looms large, the accusations of treachery still echoing in his ears. Stumbling upon historical records of his supposed revolt, Ying is determined to rewrite his maligned legacy and uncover the fate of his beloved Taoyuan villagers. His quest draws him back to the Golden Wheel of Time, the only key to correct the distortions of the past. However, Sao and Niehu, reanimated and relentless, continue their centuries-old pursuit. Ying's quest for justice and redemption sets the stage for showdowns that ripple through the modern streets of Hong Kong, painting a tale of honor, loyalty, and timeless friendship against the backdrop of relentless change.
