Plot

In the gritty underbelly of New York, Frankie Madison emerges from the harsh confines of prison after serving a fourteen-year sentence for bootlegging. His return to the city is not one of defeat, but of anticipation, as he intends to reunite with his former partner and now prosperous nightclub manager, Noll "Dink" Turner. Their past entwines them in a verbal pact made in the midst of Prohibition’s chaos. As Frankie took the fall and Noll slipped through the fingers of justice, they made a '50:50' agreement, a silent oath forged in loyalty and survival. Now, Frankie expects Noll to honor their pact, to share the spoils of the thriving nightclub that burgeoned while he languished behind bars. But the glittering world of nightclub success has changed Noll. He has wealth, power and the cunning to protect it. Using Kay Lawrence, his enchanting mistress, and his loyal friend Dave, Noll intends to convince Frankie that his due is a mere fraction of what he had expected. This cruel slap of betrayal stings Frankie, but he isn't easily deterred. In this labyrinth of power plays and broken promises, Frankie, still clinging to the hard-knuckled methods of the Prohibition era, finds an unexpected ally. Kay, scorned by Noll's decision to marry the sophisticated Mrs. Alexis Richardson, teams up with Frankie. Together, they navigate the treacherous waters of deception, revenge, and unfulfilled promises. 'I Walk Alone' is a gripping tale of loyalty tested and friendships shattered in the face of greed. Will Frankie be able to reclaim his share, or will he be crushed under the weight of Big Business? The answers lie in the smoky haze of the New York nightclub scene, where old wounds resurface and new alliances are forged in the pursuit of justice.
