Plot

In the quaint confines of a small English town, Cowen Rosewell and his companions, a band of close-knit friends, dwell in a shabby flat, their lives echoing the lack of opportunities that plague the youth of 2014. Consumed by the monotony of everyday life, Cowen finds solace in a BTEC media course, his first assignment requiring him to document a week of his existence. At the outset, the sporadic violence that infiltrates the town's tranquility seems nothing more than the everyday chaos of provincial life to Cowen. However, when an anonymous stranger violently assaults one of his closest friends, the severity of the attacker's fatal injuries they inflict in defense reveals a sinister undercurrent to the seemingly random violence. As the horrifying reality unravels, Cowen and his friends uncover a malevolent entity's insidious grip on their town. Organized gangs, seemingly under this dark influence, begin herding the townsfolk to a nearby factory. Hiding in their sanctuary provides them only temporary respite, as it too falls prey to this relentless terror. Cowen ultimately finds himself navigating a solitary path to the ominous factory, his heart heavy with the search for his missing friends. The ominous power that lurks within its walls not only threatens his life but also casts a dark shadow over the fate of the world. This gripping tale of survival and courage unfolds as Cowen confronts the evil that has consumed his once peaceful town.
