Plot

In a desperate attempt to stitch together the fraying seams of their marriage, firefighter Chris Conley and his estranged wife, Maggie, retreat from the tumult of city life to an isolated, enigmatic house devoid of worldly connections like electricity or a telephone. This ancient dwelling, lost in a labyrinth of woods, becomes their sanctuary, a place where they hope to heal the wounds of a recent family tragedy. Months earlier, Maggie suffered the devastating loss of their eight-month-old unborn child, an accident etched in bitterness when Chris's anger spiraled out of control. Soon, they discover the house's peculiar design, divided into two halves, which they are bound to share with the aging occupants, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson. As Chris delves into his new job in the nearby town, leaving the emotionally fragile Maggie to breathe life into their side of the house, a web of eerie noises and phantom telephone rings begins to spin around her. The house, once a symbol of hope, starts mutating into a haunting nightmare. Maggie's encounters with Mrs. Anderson reveal chilling similarities between their lives, as she learns of Mr. Anderson's abusive nature, a mirror to the darker side she fears lurks within Chris. In this house, nestled within the silent woods, Chris and Maggie learn that evil doesn't need a door to enter, and their last-ditch effort to salvage their marriage might just have led them into a sinister trap. The House of Good and Evil unravels a tale of love, loss, and the chilling secrets that whisper within the walls of the timeless and isolated.
