Plot

Immersed in the raw, unfiltered reality of Cambodia, HOLLY paints a poignant canvas of resilience, courage, and the human capacity to defy odds. Within the notorious underbelly of Phnom Penh, in the infamous "K11" red light district, a haunting tale unfolds. Holly, a 12-year-old Vietnamese girl, is sold by her destitute family and smuggled across the border, destined for a life of servitude in the sordid world of prostitution. Her innocence is a high-priced commodity, an unsettling fact that sees her snatched up by a ruthless child trafficker. Enter Patrick, an American ensnared in his own web of self-destruction as a card shark and dealer of stolen artifacts. Numb to the world, he's been residing 'comfortably' in Cambodia for years until he crosses paths with Holly. Their lives intertwine in a strange dance of fate, their connection marked by a shared longing for redemption and freedom. When Holly is whisked away into the shadows, Patrick embarks on an urgent quest to rescue her, navigating the paradoxically stunning and grotesque landscapes of Cambodia. HOLLY is more than a film; it's a testament to the urgent crisis of child trafficking and sexual exploitation, emblematic of the voiceless millions ensnared in this brutal trade every year. Shot on location, amidst actual brothels and the stark realities of Cambodia, this feature is part of the 'K-11' Project, an endeavor aimed at sparking global awareness and inciting action against child sexploitation. The film's creators braved substantial adversities to bring this harrowing yet hopeful narrative to life, also establishing the RedLight Children Campaign, a worldwide initiative designed to combat this modern scourge.
