In a twist of fate, Charlie stumbles upon a pair, promising to look after the man's physically challenged uncle. As the couple's relationship crumbles, the man's new flame accidentally drops eggs, causing a clumsy Charlie, who is trying to manage the wheelchair, to slip. Seizing an opportunity, Charlie positions the uncle next to another wheelchair-bound individual on a pier. He cunningly borrows a beggar's cup and a sign indicating disability, placing them strategically with the uncle. This ploy proves lucrative as coins start pouring in, which Charlie uses to quench his thirst.
Upon his return, he strikes up a rapport with the deserted young woman. The plot thickens as Charlie, in a fit of mayhem, pushes the uncle and his wheelchair into the water, leading to a brawl with the beggar and a couple of law enforcers, one of whom apprehends the uncle. Triumphantly, Charlie outmatches his adversary in a fistfight, ultimately winning over the girl's heart.
