Plot

In the vibrant heart of Havana, with its intoxicating rhythm and time-forgotten grandeur, we meet Vittorio Arditi De Bellis, once a renowned Italian conductor celebrated for his mastery of Rossini's harmonious symphonies. Yet fame is ephemeral; now aged and forgotten, Vittorio is a faded star. Still, whispers of his past brilliance, particularly his captivating renditions of the Rossini-Kyrie, resonate in some corners and lead him on an unexpected journey to Havana, Cuba. There, he is tasked with the daunting challenge of conducting the exuberant Children's Cuban National Choir. Starting on a discordant note, Vittorio teeters on the precipice of losing it all. Yet, in this city of lost time and enduring spirit, the Rossini's Cuban flavor and the choir's youthful vibrancy become unlikely allies in his personal symphony. Amid this, a poignant surprise awaits him - a son he unknowingly fathered years ago. As the past converges with the present, Vittorio's life is imbued with new meaning. Through the eyes of this eccentric old maestro, Havana Kyrie unfolds as a touching ode to life and its unexpected harmonies. It's a narrative steeped in nostalgia, where aging is not an end but a crescendo to new beginnings, and where the 'spice of life' can be savored at any age.
