Havana (1990)

In the heart of tumultuous Cuba, amidst the chilling winds of December 1958, the suave yet hardened gambler, Jack, sails into Havana. His mission is not political, but a quest to orchestrate an epic poker game. Fate, however, deals him a different hand when he encounters the enchanting Roberta on board. A spark ignites between them, a game of hearts commences. Their arrival in Cuba, however, deals a harsh blow as Roberta and her revolutionary Cuban husband, Arturo, are seized and subjected to unspeakable torment. Arturo's life is snuffed out under dubious circumstances, but Jack maneuvers through the chaos to rescue Roberta. Yet, Roberta is a flame that cannot be tamed. Her allegiance to the revolution remains undeterred, continually placing herself in the line of fire. Jack finds himself at a crossroads, torn between the captivating woman whose passion risks her life and the most significant poker game he's ever played. It's a dangerous game of choice, forcing Jack to question the man he is and the man he could become.
