Katherine Wilson has accepted a prominent teaching position in the Art History Department at Wellesley College. Watson, a modern women with progressive views, especially for the 1950s, has a passion for art and teaching students to watch them grow. But, for the most part, the women seem to be counting down the days until they marry, rather than having career goals. Watson hopes to change the college for the better, but there is a lot of push back from those in charge. Will she succeed in making it less of a finishing school and more like a career stepping stone?
