Plot

Acclaimed author of In Cold Blood Truman Capote had peculiar habits, and his process of investigating his true crime story was undoubtedly unconventional. This is the story of how he and his friend — and equally celebrated author — Harper Lee brought the case of Perry Smith to public attention. Capote's relationship with Perry Smith is personal, but it crosses strange boundaries between caring and exploitative. But as he continues to talk to Smith and unravel the story of how a home robbery turned into a brutal series of murders, he runs the risk of falling victim to Smith's sense of charm.
