Happiness Runs (2010)

In the idyllic yet flawed hippie commune where he was raised, Victor (Mark L. Young), a young man, begins to question the so-called Utopian principles that govern their lives. His mother (Andie MacDowell), a financial pillar of this commune, has fallen under the spell of Insley (Rutger Hauer), a cunning guru. Insley employs a technique called "running", a hypnotic practice used to seduce women, ensnaring them to relinquish their bodies and worldly possessions to him. The return of Victor's childhood sweetheart, Becky (Hanna Hall), to nurse her gravely ill father, stirs up haunting premonitions of her death in Victor. He becomes desperate to rescue both himself and Becky from the clutches of this exploitative cult.
