Good Boy, Bad Boy (2007)

In the heart of bustling Mumbai, two lives intertwine in the affluent worlds of Bandra and Mahim. Rajan Malhotra, a diligent scholar, and Raju Malhotra, a relentless mischief-maker, despite sharing a last name, lead starkly different lives. Rajan, born April 18, 1985, thrives on academia in B.S.S. College of Arts & Science, earning top grades in everything but sports, while Raju, a February 21st child, prefers mayhem over manuscripts, though he excels in sports. The arrival of new Principal, Diwan Chand Awasthi, sets the stage for a dramatic shift in the college's dynamics. His vision to categorize students based on their academic performance — 'A' for the high achievers, 'B' for the average students, and 'C' for those barely making the grade — sends ripples through the institution. This new order leaves Raju, a 'C' grade student, in a predicament as he yearns for the affection of 'A' student Rashmi. In a daring act of defiance and desire, Raju and Rajan switch their identity cards, plunging themselves into each other's worlds. Raju, equipped with Rajan's academic prowess, wins Rashmi's heart, while Rajan slowly finds himself attracted to 'C' student, Dinky Kapoor. But as they navigate these unfamiliar territories, they face new challenges, not least of which includes Dinky's boyfriend and his menacing gang. The plot thickens when Principal Awasthi, aware of the identity switch, cunningly proposes Raju and Rajan for a quiz and a dance competition respectively — areas in which neither of them excel. With their reputations at stake and the clock ticking, they are pushed into a corner to prove their worth, not just to the college, but also to their disapproving parents. 'Good Boy, Bad Boy' is a tale of swapped identities, unexpected friendships, and the pursuit of love, all under the watchful eyes of a shrewd Principal.
