Plot

Thrusted into the heart of the Lipari archipelago, FBI investigator Matt Benson finds himself in the picturesque island of Panarea, assigned there as part of an agreement between Italy and the USA. Settling into a lavishly protected villa with sprawling landscapes and a private cove that overlooks the majestic Ginostra volcano, his wife Jessie and their cherubic 5-year-old, Tina, are instantly enthralled by their new home. However, tranquility is short-lived when the shadow of the Mafia falls upon them. Matt is tasked with questioning Ettore Greco, a fragile 11-year-old boy, the sole survivor of a car bombing that obliterated his family. For the boy's safety, Matt brings Ettore into their idyllic abode, a decision that unknowingly ushers in a wave of hidden truths and concealed lies. As their artificial family structure begins to unravel, a harrowing secret that binds Matt and Ettore together surfaces, a secret kept unbeknownst to Jessie. This revelation subtly morphs the villa from a haven into a pressure cooker of tension, leading the Benson family towards a chilling precipice. Caught between the external threats of the Mafia and the internal fear that grips them, the family finds themselves ensnared amidst the heart-rending plight of an orphaned child. Bound by secrets and lies, they teeter on the edge of their personal hell, their home serving as the eerie backdrop of their unraveling lives.
