Thrusted into the heart of the Lipari archipelago, FBI investigator Matt Benson finds himself in the picturesque island of Panarea, assigned there as part of an agreement between Italy and the USA. Settling into a lavishly protected villa with sprawling landscapes and a private cove that overlooks the majestic Ginostra volcano, his wife Jessie and their cherubic 5-year-old, Tina, are instantly enthralled by their new home. However, tranquility is short-lived when the shadow of the Mafia falls upon them. Matt is tasked with questioning Ettore Greco, a fragile 11-year-old boy, the sole survivor of a car bombing that obliterated his family.
