Gangs of New York (2002)

In New York in the mid-19th century, a ruthless gangster named Bill the Butcher kills a rival, Priest Vallon. Vallon's son witnesses the murder, and when he grows up, he returns to seek revenge. This involves assuming the name of Amsterdam and infiltrating Bill the Butcher's gang. However, a betrayal over a love rivalry threatens Amsterdam's scheme, and Amsterdam must decide to carry out his revenge or flee the city.
