Plot

In the suburban tranquility of New Jersey resides Jeffrey, an ingenious inventor deeply enamored with his soon-to-be wife, Elizabeth. A celebratory barbecue marking the birthday of Elizabeth's father takes an unforeseen tragic turn when a remote-controlled lawnmower, Jeffrey's innovative gift for his future father-in-law, gruesomely dismembers Elizabeth who unwittingly stands in its path. Enveloped by grief and propelled by love, Jeffrey plunges into the macabre quest of resurrecting his beloved, armed with his prodigious knowledge of science. He deduces that Elizabeth's revival hinges on procuring body parts. This realization steers him into the shadowy labyrinth of New York's red-light district, a realm teeming with potential donors in the form of unsuspecting prostitutes. His venture spirals into chaos when an experiment involving a dangerous, self-crafted explosive substance goes awry, causing several women to meet a volatile end. Amid the pandemonium, Jeffrey secures the essential components required to reconstruct his fiancée. Yet, when a reanimated Elizabeth escapes his laboratory, Jeffrey finds himself ensnared in a deadly conflict with Zorro, a ruthless pimp mourning the loss of his girls. Frankenhooker is a darkly comedic tale of love and desperation, where the line between innovation and insanity blurs, and the desperate pursuit of second chances leads down a road marked with unexpected and catastrophic twists.
