In the shadowy underbelly of Copenhagen, four small-time gangsters find themselves embroiled in a high-stakes game of deception and survival. Tasked by a menacing mob boss, Færingen, to swipe a bag from a secure vault, they uncover a windfall of 4,000,000 kroner, a fortune far beyond their wildest dreams. Succumbing to temptation, they claim the money as their own, triggering a daring pursuit that sends them fleeing for the sun-soaked streets of Barcelona. However, fate has a whimsical sense of humor and they find themselves marooned in the rural tranquility of Funen, taking refuge in the skeletal remnants of an old restaurant. As weeks turn into a hushed, timeless blur, they invest their stolen wealth into reviving the derelict establishment, swapping their lives of crime for carpentry and culinary arts. Engulfed by the countryside's serene charm, each gangster begins to envision a fresh start within these rustic walls, yearning to trade their bullet-ridden past for aprons and amicable banter. Yet, the specter of their criminal history lingers, threatening to shatter the idyllic life they've started to build.
