Plot

Within the pulsating heart of Istanbul, a city on the edge, terrorists wreak havoc, detonating explosive chaos and planning five monumental attacks. Amid this turmoil, the intense police officer Firat Baran uncovers a chilling revelation; the mastermind behind the terror is the elusive leader known only as 'Dajjal'. This figure of dread, it seems, has been hiding in plain sight in New York, under the guise of the respected Hadji Gümüs. Across the ocean, in the vibrant sprawl of New York City, FBI Special Agent David Becker, a man driven by prejudice, is tasked with arresting Hadji. A respected religious scholar and family man, Hadji is a pillar of the local Muslim community, living a quiet life running a store in Soho. However, the tranquility of his existence is shattered when Firat and his partner Acar Dogan arrive from Turkey, determined to extradite him. In a thrilling turn of events, Hadji is rescued by his friend Marcus and the Muslim community during the journey to the airport. Firat and Acar are subsequently captured. In an unexpected twist, Hadji offers his captors hospitality, asking them to stay with him for a few days before he willingly travels back to Istanbul. Reluctantly, Firat and Acar agree, and during their stay, they come to see Hadji as a man of integrity. Yet, duty calls, and they are compelled to bring him back to Turkey. Once there, Hadji is interrogated, and the officers find themselves questioning his guilt. His fear of returning to Turkey, however, remains an enigma. In this riveting tale of love, friendship, peace and prejudice, two Turkish anti-terrorist agents find themselves in a whirlwind mission in New York, on a quest to apprehend a highly sought-after Islamic leader. The journey unravels a complex narrative, questioning the relevance of guilt or innocence in a world driven by vengeance. "Five Minarets in New York" is an engaging exploration of human dynamics, a plot bristling with suspense and unexpected turns.
