Plot

In 1960s New York City, Frank Serpico is a good cop. And in a police department that's rife with corruption, that makes him a liability. The other officers are suspicious of the fact that he doesn't take his cut of the bribes, and his complaints to his superiors seem to constantly go unnoticed. Serpico is treated like a pariah and harassed by his fellow officers, but he finally has the opportunity to testify after other cops betray him and leave him for dead. This is the real life story of how Frank Serpico unveiled the full breadth of corruption in the system.
