False Colors (1943)

In the dusty plains of the Old West, Bud Lawton, a rootless drifter, finds solace and purpose working as a cowboy at the Bar 20 ranch, under the wing of Hoppy, a father figure to him. A sudden letter shatters his newfound tranquility, revealing the death of his estranged father and his unexpected inheritance of the family ranch. However, before he can reckon with his past, Bud's life is abruptly snuffed out by two ruthless killers. Hoppy, along with his pals, California and Jimmy, embarks on a quest for justice to Bud's hometown.
