Three years after air force pilot Hank Thomas is discharged, burdened with the guilt of his best friend's death in a military debacle led by Major Carson, his past comes back to haunt him. A clandestine group, led by Harold Peters, Sharon Williams, and the very same Carson, claim to be CIA agents and seek Hank's help. They reveal a chilling truth: a lethal microwave beam weapon, responsible for his friend's demise and the tragic crash of TWA flight 800, has been installed on a super-sonic jet named the Falcon.
The Falcon project, recently scrapped by the military, is the prized possession of a greedy corporation planning to sell it to the Chinese for a whopping $10 billion. Hank's mission, should he choose to accept, is to hijack the Falcon from its nest at the infamous Area 51 and fly it to Alaska, where it can be safely dismantled.
Under the cloak of darkness, Hank and his dubious team infiltrate Area 51, engage in a fierce gunfight, and manage to seize the Falcon. But, the operation doesn't fly under the radar for long. As they soar towards Alaska, the Air Force is hot on their trail, and the Falcon starts to hemorrhage fuel.
In a shocking twist, Hank discovers the four CIA agents are nothing more than mercenaries in disguise, conspiring with Carson to sell the Falcon to the Chinese. Trapped in the sky, Hank must outmaneuver the Air Force, confront the traitors among his ranks, and safely land the faltering Falcon on an icy tundra.
