Fado (2016)

Haunted by the ghosts of substance abuse and the relentless demands of his role as an ER doctor, young German Fabian yearns for a fresh start. In a bid to mend his fractured past, he embarks on a journey to the picturesque city of Lisbon, carrying with him the hope of rekindling an old flame with his ex-lover, Dorothea, fondly known as Doro. In the heart of Lisbon, Doro reluctantly opens her home and heart to Fabian. Their relationship re-blooms with passion, but the tendrils of their troubled past intertwine with their present, casting a dark shadow over their reunion. Fabian, seeking a simpler life, exchanges the high-pressure hospital environment for a humble free clinic and charity ambulance service. However, his personal demons and the incessant bullying over minor rules hinder his focus, leaving him vulnerable to the insecurities that once tore his relationship apart.
