Plot

In the bustling metropolis, Anabel Sims, an ambitious shop girl at the high-end Roger Sanford and Co. Department Store, has set her sights on the institution of marriage. However, suitable suitors are scarce, with "Old Joe" from her quaint hometown of Greenville being an option she'd rather not entertain. Anabel firmly believes in the power of love at first sight and the right for women to break away from societal norms, taking charge in the pursuit of their chosen man. Her faith in love is reaffirmed when her gaze falls upon the distinguished pediatrician, Dr. Madison W. Brown. Smitten at first sight, Anabel throws herself into an imaginative whirlwind of strategies to ensure he reciprocates her feelings. As she navigates through his life of habitual routines, she discovers his staunch bachelor status and his preference for choosing his own wife. Undeterred, she concocts a clever ruse to introduce an imaginary rival, Roger Sanford, the wealthy store owner, into the game of love. However, the plot takes an unexpected twist when the thrice-married, currently single and notoriously flirtatious Roger actually steps into Anabel's world. Known for his penchant for women sought by others, the stage is set for a captivating saga as he too sets his eyes on Anabel, the object of an esteemed pediatrician's affection. Enjoy this charming tale of love, competition, and the pursuit of matrimonial bliss in the enchanting movie, Every Girl Should Be Married.
