Plot

In the face of an insurmountable loss – the unexplained death of their infant – physicians Paul and Kim Jordan, played by C. Thomas Howell and Anora Lyn respectively, find their lives in America unbearable. Seeking solace and distraction, they relocate to the exotic landscapes of Thailand to join a medical mission. However, their pursuit of peace is shattered when Paul is abducted by merciless human traffickers, desperate for his surgical expertise to save their ailing leader. Kim, left stranded in an unfamiliar land, must navigate the perplexity of her husband's disappearance with no tangible evidence or leads. Meanwhile, on a secluded traffickers' island, Paul finds himself shackled alongside Malcolm Andrews (John Rhys-Davies), a Brit incarcerated for ransom. As the hours turn into days, their contrasting beliefs spark fierce debates – Malcolm's unwavering faith in divine intervention clashes with Paul's disillusionment with a god who permits such malevolence. Paul's plight intensifies when he discovers his patient's state is gravely beyond his capabilities, given the primitive medical conditions. With his value to the traffickers rapidly diminishing, Paul and Malcolm realize the dire necessity of orchestrating their escape. The duo must place their lives in each other's hands, devising a daring strategy to outsmart their captors and sprint towards freedom. This thrilling narrative of Escape (2012) promises a rollercoaster of emotions, testing faith, and the human instinct for survival.
