Risen (2016)

The New Testament story of Jesus Christ rising from the grave is given a new perspective in a story of the Roman tribune asked to recover his body. Clavius is charged with making sure that everything goes smoothly throughout the mass crucifixion and burials that follow. He begins seeking out Christ's body in a simple attempt to save his reputation and his job, but he eventually finds himself beginning to question his core beliefs. Clavius is a skeptic, but he finds the unique circumstances of this miracle hard to question. And he finds himself excited by the disciples of this young religion.
