In the aftermath of a painful split, Daphne, portrayed by Shailene Woodley, finds herself tossed adrift on the turbulent seas of life. Temporarily ensconced in her sister's guesthouse, she is an unwilling voyeur to the ceaseless battles of her sibling's marriage, a spectacle that only deepens her growing disillusionment with the ideal of everlasting love. This melancholy tableau is disrupted when she crosses paths with Frank (Sebastian Stan) and Jack (Jamie Dornan) at one of her sister's social gatherings. These two men, each strikingly attractive in his unique way, represent two diverging paths for Daphne.
