Plot

For Elisa, nine long years have passed without a glimpse of her father, Luis. Her life, already on the precipice of upheaval due to her crumbling marriage to Antonio, takes a sudden turn when she receives a telegram from her sister Isabel. Luis is ill, and Elisa, Isabel, her husband Julián, and their children venture to the rural outskirts of Madrid for a somber birthday reunion. As Isabel and her family retreat back to Madrid, Elisa makes a bold choice to remain, exploring the fractured relationship between herself and Luis. She begins to unravel the mystery of his past, discovering subtle nuances that led him to abandon her mother all those years ago. In the quiet simplicity of the countryside, Elisa lays bare her own heartbreak - Antonio's infidelity with her closest friend, Sophie, and the subsequent dissolution of their union. The serene tranquility of rural life is shattered when Antonio arrives unexpectedly, forcing Elisa to confront her past and decide the course of her future. The film, 'Elisa, My Life', is a poignant exploration of familial bonds, personal revelations, and the life-changing decisions one must make in the face of adversity.
