In the pulsing heart of Manhattan, a seemingly ordinary man, clad in the unremarkable armor of a business suit, flees the soulless corporate world on a mundane Friday evening. His dissatisfaction hangs heavy in the air as he seeks solace in the mystical realm of a tarot reader, whose words echo ominously, "You are misplaced." Under the spell of this prophetic encounter, he severs ties with his matrimonial life and embarks on a nocturnal odyssey through New York's shadowy underbelly. From the polished elegance of an uptown bar to the seductive allure of a gentleman's club, then into the velvet darkness of a high-end bordello, his journey spirals into chaos with a brutal mugging, a desperate visit to a pawnshop, and finally, a humble diner - a sanctuary where he finds an attentive ear. Edmond's philosophical musings find voice as he converses with those he meets along the way. His life, once a tethered balloon, is now adrift in the tempestuous winds of violence and disillusionment. He plunges deeper into the abyss, convinced he's found his true path, shedding his old life like a snake sheds its skin. But, as he navigates his new existence, the lingering question remains - where does Edmond truly belong?
