Plot

In the heart of Hollywood, amidst the glitz and glamour, live Paul and Mary Bland, a wine store clerk and a hospital nurse respectively. As straight-laced as they come, their lives are defined by a unique dream - to open a gourmet restaurant. But their aspiration is hindered by a lack of funds, sparing only Paul's cherished collection of wines, envisioned as the restaurant's future cellar. Their humdrum existence takes an unexpected turn when Mary fends off an attempted rape by a swinger who has mistakenly entered their apartment. Paul, coming to her rescue, inadvertently kills the man with a frying pan. This incident, combined with the discovery of a substantial sum of money in the intruder's pockets, sparks a morally dubious yet seemingly foolproof plan - to lure, rob, and dispose of sexually deviant men. The couple's scheme evolves into a macabre business, with each victim bringing them one step closer to their cherished dream. However, their operations are complicated by the arrival of Raoul Mendoza, a sly locksmith and fraudster who stumbles upon their secret. Far from being horrified, Raoul offers to partner with them, his interest primarily in the cadavers which he plans to sell to an undisclosed buyer. As Paul and Mary navigate this unholy alliance, they become entangled in a deadly game of survival and deception. Unsettling revelations about Raoul's side activities and true intentions add to the suspense, forcing the couple to consider whether a partnership of two would be more beneficial, and if so, who the third, expendable party might be. "Eating Raoul" is a darkly comedic exploration of how far an ordinary couple will go to achieve their dreams, set against a backdrop of Hollywood’s less glamorous side. This tale of ambition, crime, and cuisine is a deliciously twisted journey that will leave viewers questioning the limits of morality and the price of dreams.
