Duplex (2003)

This is a psychological thriller about how two normal people can be pushed to the edge of reason. The husband is a writer who needs a quiet environment to work. They find an inexpensive duplex in their preferred location. The only trouble is the upstairs is rented by an elderly woman who is protected by law and cannot be evicted. Thinking she will pose no problems, they buy the duplex and their troubles begin. The elderly woman is a constant bother either by the noises she makes at night or her regular interruptions with minor problems. She drives them to radical behavior that could be deadly. How will they solve the problem?
