Plot

In the heart of a modest middle-class neighborhood lives Karthik (Akash), a vibrant 14-year-old boy, who is the son of a government employee, Subramaniam (Prakash Raj). Unlike his peers, Karthik's mind isn't consumed by textbooks and numbers, but by the exhilarating world of cricket. He is not just passionate about the sport, but intensely obsessed, dreaming of attacking the pitch as an accomplished wicket-keeper batsman, much like his idol, the dynamic Mahendra Singh Dhoni. However, Karthik's world isn't all cricket pitches and batting stances. He wrestles with the challenging world of academics, struggling to keep up with his classmates as numbers elude him, creating a chasm between him and his father's dreams. Subramaniam, burdened by aspirations of seeing his son don an MBA graduation cap, is often left disheartened by Karthik's academic struggles. As Karthik navigates through the labyrinth of his dual life, his cricket coach (Nassar) spots a shimmering potential in him, fueling his aspirations further. The story takes an inspiring turn, morphing into a deeply intense family drama, as Subramaniam embarks on a journey to understand his son's passion while grappling with his own dreams for Karthik's future. Will Subramaniam's fatherly love guide him to encourage his son's cricketing dreams? Will he be able to bridge the gap between his aspirations and Karthik's passion, assisting in the transformation of his son's life and helping him achieve his ultimate goal? This captivating narrative spins an intricate tapestry of familial bonds, personal dreams, and the courage it takes to follow one's passion, making 'Dhoni' a must-watch for every heart that dares to dream.
