Plot

In the haunting shadows of the early 90s, Noah (Stephen Twardokus) finds himself plunged into a remote, enigmatic gay cruising park, driven by the desperate search for his vanished brother. His gaze lands on a charismatic stranger (JD Scalzo), instantly igniting a spark of intrigue. However, their connection takes a brutal turn when Noah falls prey to a savage attack. Together, they are forced to flee into the labyrinthine woods, with relentless thugs snapping at their heels. Lost in the wilderness and gripped by fear, the duo begins to crumble under the weight of mistrust and paranoia. As they navigate the wilderness, they gradually peel back the layers of deceit cloaking the true menace lurking around them. Devil's Path, the atmospheric psychological thriller from debut director Matthew Montgomery, is a meticulously woven tapestry of suspense and existential dread. This film beautifully juxtaposes starkly contrasting views on love and intimacy against the backdrop of riveting suspense sequences. Tinged with unexpected plot twists, the narrative masterfully unravels the complex interplay of human emotions and chilling realities, painting a poignant picture of the human condition under duress.
