Plot

In the isolated and eerie town of Devil's Gate, North Dakota, a disturbing mystery unfolds as local woman Maria Pritchard and her young son Jonah vanish without a trace. CIA Special Agent Daria Francis is thrust into this enigma, tasked with unraveling the thread of their disappearance. Her prime suspect? The seemingly aloof and enigmatic husband and father, Jackson Pritchard, a man living on a secluded farm amidst the desolate plains of the Midwest. Sheriff Gruenwell, a stalwart figure of the community, urges Francis to tread lightly, defending Jackson as a man of good character. Nevertheless, an air of suspicion hangs heavily around Jackson, with Maria's sister further fueling Francis's doubts. The mystery deepens as she partners with Deputy Conrad 'Colt' Salter, a local lawman, to delve deeper into the shadowy corners of the Pritchard case. As Francis and Salter navigate the undercurrents of this small town, they confront Jackson at his isolated farm, only to be met with hostility. Driven by an unwavering pursuit of truth, Francis dares to enter the Pritchard house, kicking up the dust of secrets that have long lain dormant. Here, she stumbles upon a bizarre revelation that sends shock waves through her investigation. What is Jackson hiding? In a town where the ordinary meets the inexplicable, Devil's Gate challenges the boundaries of what we perceive as reality. Brace yourself for a journey into the unknown, where nothing, and no one, is as it seems.
