Plot

In the aftermath of a grueling custody battle, Yoshimi embarks on a journey to build a fresh life for her cherished daughter. As she grapples with the complexities of single parenting amidst the echoes of an unresolved divorce, they move into what appears to be the perfect apartment - a seeming sanctuary in their tumultuous lives. However, tranquility is swiftly replaced by an escalating sense of dread as unexplainable phenomena begin to unfold. Enormous water stains, akin to weeping wounds, materialize on the ceiling, dripping incessantly and saturating their domestic haven with an ominous chill. Their pleas for help fall on the landlord's indifferent ears, leaving them trapped in a steadily deteriorating environment. Amidst this deluge, a child's crimson bag begins to appear in the most peculiar locations, an uncanny harbinger of the spectral apparition of a little girl that soon follows. Yoshimi, driven by her maternal instincts, delves into the enigmatic history of their dwelling, unveiling the haunting origins of the ghostly child. Navigating the murky waters of her personal struggles, Yoshimi must confront the apartment's chilling secret. "Dark Water" paints a gripping portrait of a mother's desperate fight against supernatural forces, entwining the spectral with the mundane in a riveting tale of fear, determination, and the unbreakable bond of family.
