Plot

In the heat of World War II, with the future of the free world hanging in the balance, the beaches of Normandy become the stage for a monumental gamble. As thousands of Allied soldiers surge forth in a daring, desperate attempt to alter the direction of the war, a select group of courageous American men, the Rangers of the 2nd Battalion, find themselves at the heart of the storm. Led by Lt. General Omar Bradley (Liddell), Lt. Colonel James Rudder (Cage Coppola), First Sgt. Lommell (Kove), and Major Cleveland Lytle (Couture), these valiant soldiers plunge fearlessly into hostile territory, their mission branded by many as a suicide. Yet for these men, it's just another word for duty. Dramatically outnumbered and outgunned, they are commanded to dismantle a series of German-seized cannons, strategically positioned high atop a formidable one-hundred-foot cliff. The path is riddled with treacherous terrain and unseen enemies lying in wait, transforming their mission into a perilous firefight against an adversary of overwhelming numbers. In the shadow of the towering cliff, the Rangers grapple with the realities of war. With every step taken, they risk life and limb, venturing blindly into the jaws of danger. Their objective: to secure a strategic position and neutralize the German firepower, pushing the boundaries of bravery and resilience in the face of overwhelming odds. 'D-Day' (2019) is a riveting portrayal of determination, courage, and the unyielding human spirit, offering a visceral exploration of the heroes whose gallantry changed the course of history.
