Mallory Rutledge, an expectant bride with a heart full of second thoughts, embarks on a solitary journey to Denver, intending to meet her fiancé. A spontaneous decision leads her off the beaten path and onto a journey to visit the awe-inspiring Grand Canyon. As she navigates the desolate stretches of road, conversation with her sister Ella is her only human connection until fate, or perhaps misfortune, intervenes. Suddenly, her fiancé's truck grinds to a halt, leaving her stranded amidst the vast emptiness with a dead cell phone as her only lifeline. However, salvation seems to appear in the form of a seemingly gentle drifter, Christian Laughton. He offers his help to fix the truck, an offer that Mallory gratefully accepts. But when she returns the favor by giving him a ride, the situation takes a chilling turn. Christian's disturbing remarks and the sudden reveal of a knife transform the ride into an ominous journey. He directs her to a decrepit motel, but Mallory, fueled by adrenaline and desperation, seizes an opportunity. Noticing Christian's absent seatbelt, she veers the truck off a curve, overturning it. Trapped in the wreckage with her leg pinned, she finds herself abandoned by the psychopath. What started as a drive towards marital bliss morphs into a horrifying struggle for survival. Will Mallory be able to free herself from the mangled vehicle and the terrifying grasp of the psychopath? The open road holds not only her worst nightmare but also the test of her will to escape and survive.
