Plot

In the bustling shopping district of Seoul, Kang Tae Sik, a washed-up 43-year-old former silver medalist boxer, now sells himself as a human punching bag, dodging the relentless pursuit of loan sharks while wrestling with the impending demise of his marriage. His wife, on the verge of filing for a divorce, threatens to take their only son away from him, leaving him in a desperate fight against life. Parallelly, we meet Yoo Sang Hwan, a rebellious youth, bruised by his past and haunted by his actions. Having recently walked out of prison, Sang Hwan carries the guilt of robbing and assaulting his elderly neighbor to settle his debts. His life takes a surprising turn when a prison guard suggests boxing as an outlet for his pent-up aggression. Now, with his father dead, his mother missing, and his grandmother succumbing to a stroke, Sang Hwan finds himself trapped in a storm of desperation. As fate would have it, an amateur boxing competition surfaces, shimmering like a beacon of hope for these two troubled souls. The ring becomes their battleground, where they are destined to clash, each fighting their own demons while seeking redemption and a shot at a better life. Their paths entwined by circumstance, Kang Tae Sik and Yoo Sang Hwan are about to discover that sometimes, the hardest punches aren't the ones you throw but the ones life throws at you.
