Plot

In a sudden twist of fate, the motley crew of Slip, Sach, Chuck, Butch, and Whitey find themselves running the Mahoney Collection Agency. They stumble upon a peculiar debt owed by Flynn, a local stable owner and second-hand store proprietor, to Louie, the affable Sweet Shop owner. The debt, a hefty sum of $250, has been outstanding for over two years. Flynn, a doting father to his daughter Terry, brokers a deal with Slip, offering him a horse named "My Girl" as an unconventional method of debt repayment. Flynn's connection to the horse runs deep; he's been sheltering her for months without compensation. Unbeknownst to our ragtag group, "My Girl" isn't just any horse. She's a top-tier racehorse, secretly owned by the notorious racketeer, Big Al, along with his sidekicks, Weepin' Willie and Swifty. Their master plan? To deceitfully run "My Girl" in an upcoming race, posing her as their notoriously slow, long-odds horse named Tarzana. When the Bowery boys catch wind of this devious plan, they orchestrate a horse switch, unknowingly triggering a chaotic chain of swaps with Big Al, Willie, and Swifty. Their tit-for-tat horseplay continues until the Bowery boys finally end up with "My Girl," the star racer, leaving Big Al and his gang stuck with the sluggish Tarzana, under the illusion that they've got the upper hand. This comedic caper is a wild ride through the underbelly of horse racing, filled with unexpected alliances, cunning plans, and hilarious mix-ups.
