In the unforgiving solitude of the Welsh highlands, a disparate group of five builders find themselves united by a challenging task: the revival of a decaying, vast farmhouse. Their temporary home, a collection of damp-infested portacabins, becomes a breeding ground for animosity, as tensions rise between the crew and their highbrow, entitled employer, and simmer within the motley crew itself. The team is a ragtag assembly of characters. Dave, a grizzled veteran worn down by life, and Bob, the benevolent Foreman, strive to maintain harmony. Their efforts are thwarted by the volatile relationship between Steve, Bob's impressionable nephew, and Jim, a virulent bigot. This duo nurtures a growing resentment towards Viktor, a laborer hailing from Ukraine. As the harsh weather seals them off from the outside world and delayed payments add to their frustrations, the air grows thick with restlessness and discontent. A violent incident shatters the precarious peace, plunging the blue-collared men into a descending vortex of grim ethical dilemmas. Amidst this chaos, Jim presents a shocking proposition, forever altering their fate. In this isolated slice of wilderness, where tensions run as high as the mountains, Concrete Plans explores the ultimate price of survival when societal norms crumble.
