In the youthful, vibrant heart of Venice, CA, two audacious nine-year-old boys, Edison and Sage, embark on an exhilarating nocturnal odyssey. Armed with nothing but their skateboards and the glow of city lights, they take on the sprawling urban labyrinth of Los Angeles, aiming to conquer it by dawn. The goal: to reach the iconic Staples Center by 8am, lured by the promise of a life-changing survival contest. Edison, the more cunning of the duo, paints a picture of a contest that could catapult them from boyhood into a world of riches. Yet, what Sage is unaware of, is that beneath the allure of adventure, Edison harbors a clandestine agenda. Their journey catapults them into a tempest of perils and triumphs. They bomb hills with hearts pounding, outmaneuver a deranged pursuer, and pilfer WiFi signals like modern-day pirates. Along their route, they encounter the city's forgotten souls, befriending the homeless and learning the gentle art of panhandling. In a climax that tests their mettle, they stare down the glinting tip of a knife, cheating death in a dance with danger.
