Plot

In the heart of his senior year, seventeen-year-old Zach Sobiech, a charismatic and talented musician, finds his world spinning off its axis. Just after mustering the courage to ask out his long-standing crush, Amy, he learns that his cancer has spread, leaving him with a ticking clock that predicts a life expectancy of mere six months. Facing an unimaginably harsh reality, Zach and his loyal best friend Sammy, his partner in crime and in writing, choose to chase their dreams, pouring their hearts and souls into creating an album. Unbeknownst to them, their musical endeavor is about to catapult them into the spotlight, transforming them into an overnight viral sensation, their songs resonating with millions. Yet, as the sand in his hourglass runs low, Zach finds himself confronted with the harsh truth. No matter how he chooses to spend his remaining days, he's bound to cause heartache to those he holds dear, especially the love of his life, Amy. As his health deteriorates, he's faced with making tough decisions about how to spend his remaining days and with whom, while navigating the turbulent sea of fleeting time and fading health. In the midst of this turmoil, Zach stumbles upon a profound realization - music is his most powerful medium for expressing farewell. From this revelation, his hit song, CLOUDS, is born, becoming a poignant testament to his journey. "Clouds" is a story that beautifully straddles the dichotomy of life, blending the heart-wrenching reality of mortality with the uplifting power of music. This inspiring narrative serves as a luminous beacon, demonstrating the extraordinary things that can occur when one begins to live each day as if it might be their last.
