August: Osage County (2013)

In the sweltering heat of August in Oklahoma, a dysfunctional family meets at their childhood home because their mother is terminally ill. Along with being sick, the mother is an aggressive woman hooked on drugs and alcohol. Meanwhile, the father who has been caring for her has reached his limit of understanding and compassion. Her three daughters show up with their respective families and a family tragedy ensues. This causes an already tense situation to explode as things that were previously kept as secrets become known by all, and each person has to examine their own motives and life decisions.
