Plot

In the heart of Denmark, Keld, a dispirited and portly plumber, finds himself in solitude when his dissatisfied wife abandons him. Searching for consolation in a mundane life, he stumbles upon solace in the unlikeliest of places - a humble, family-owned Chinese restaurant across the street. As he meticulously explores the numbered menu, Keld discovers an unlikely camaraderie in Feng, a warmhearted man grappling with his own dilemmas. Drawn into a world beyond leaking pipes and dripping faucets, Keld lends his plumbing expertise to the eatery, leading Feng to seek his help with a more personal predicament. Feng's sister, Ling (Vivan Wu), a young woman trapped in a cultural bind, needs a sham marriage to secure her stay in Denmark. Despite the transactional nature of the arrangement, Ling is far from at ease with it. Yet, as time weaves its magic, Ling's subtle influence immerses Keld in a rich tapestry of tradition, unveiling unexpected joys and igniting a transformative affection. This enchanting narrative explores the serendipitous events that occur when hearts collide, creating a romantic fable that feels as real as life itself.
