In 507 A.D., the realm of Danish King Hrothgar is threatened by Grendel, a monstrous troll. The king offers rewards and honors to any hero who will step forward and slay Grendel. Beowulf believes he’s the man for the job. A mighty, but prideful and boastful warrior, Beowulf engages Grendel in an epic battle. Beowulf will also confront Grendel’s powerful mother, a demi-goddess who occupies a watery realm. Beowulf’s battle skills may be no match for the beguiling, seductive trickery of the beautiful water goddess. Can Beowulf overcome pride and moral weakness to save Hrothgar’s kingdom?
