In the chilling drama of Chehre, we follow the gripping tale of Sameer Mehra (Emraan Hashmi), a successful ad agency chief who finds himself at the mercy of retired law professionals when he stumbles upon their secluded world. While on a detour from a hill town to Delhi, Sameer's journey is abruptly halted by an unexpected tree fall and a subsequent car breakdown. His path crosses with the affable Paramjeet Singh Bhullar (Annu Kapoor), who offers him shelter at a friend's place amidst the harsh weather.
In the grand residence of ex-judge Jagdish Acharya (Dhritiman Chatterjee), he is introduced to a peculiar gathering, including the ominous presence of Lateef Zaidi (Amitabh Bachchan), and Hariya Jatav (Raghubir Yadav). This quartet of retired law professionals reveal their daily pastime - a mock trial where they play judge, prosecutor, and defense counsel. Sameer is invited to be the 'accused', assured that it is all in the spirit of a game.
As the events unfold, an offhand remark about Sameer's tyrannical ex-boss, G S Oswal (Samir Soni), and his untimely demise triggers an unexpected twist. Lateef takes the opportunity to charge Sameer with Oswal's 'murder', despite Sameer's vehement claims of innocence. Lateef stakes his legal reputation on the assertion that Sameer had a part in the 'murder'. Unnerved but confident of his innocence, Sameer plays along, only to discover that their game is graver than he imagined. Hariya Jatav, a former hangman, has a noose ready should the 'game' find the accused guilty.
