In the heart of a serene hometown, Clint Goodman, a hardworking joiner, has painstakingly built a life of comfort. His hands have crafted not just his cozy home, but also a successful construction company. Clint cherishes his wife, Joanna, their shared dream of parenthood their only unrealized aspiration. His bond with Sheriff Sam Eberly, his best friend, is often cemented over nights spent fishing at the local lake. But beneath this tranquil surface, a sinister plot bubbles. Unbeknownst to Clint, Joanna and the town's doctor, Cortland 'Cort' Van Owen, are entwined in a secret, illicit affair. They concoct a ruthless plan to poison Clint, sell his assets, and escape to the bustling allure of New York City, their treachery fueled by greed and betrayal. He returns home, only to uncover the harsh truth of Joanna's treachery and Cort's deceit.
