In the darkened underbelly of an auction house, Ritchie Donovan, a seasoned thief, finds himself the sole survivor of a diamond heist gone awry. His botched escape leaves him diamond-less and in the bad books of the formidable Russian mobster lord, Mr. Groznyi. As penance for his failures, Ritchie is dispatched to the frostbitten heart of Moscow, his mission: to steal a priceless antique cross nestled within the penthouse of a towering skyscraper.
