Plot

In the captivating movie, "Bokeh," a young American couple embarks on a dreamy escapade to the ethereal landscapes of Iceland. Their romantic idyll, however, takes an inexplicable turn when they awaken one day to a world devoid of human life. Confronted with their lonely reality, their struggle for survival becomes an existential journey as they grapple with the enigmatic event that has seemingly erased humanity. Two distinct perspectives emerge in this stark, empty world. The man chooses to embrace an optimistic outlook, finding beauty in their peculiar circumstances, and clinging onto an unwavering faith. His steadfast hope paints a stark contrast to his female companion, who descends into a despair so profound, she feels abandoned by God and questions the purpose of existence in their solitary world. "Bokeh" is not just a survival story, but a profound exploration of love and loss, faith and desolation, optimism and despair. It showcases how two individuals, bound together by love, can drift apart due to their disparate perceptions of the world, especially under the weight of knowing they are the last of their kind. Ultimately, "Bokeh" subtly nudges viewers to ponder their own reactions if faced with such a desolate reality. Would they choose optimism and faith like the man, or succumb to despair like the woman?
