Bloody Pit of Horror (1965)

In the heart of Italy, writer Rick and publisher Daniel Parks stumble upon an exquisitely eerie castle, a location perfect to breathe life into the chilling scenes of Rick's horror photo-novel. Along with Daniel's secretary Edith, their seasoned photographer Dermott, and a quintet of youthful models, they cross the threshold of the castle, seemingly abandoned but veiled in an aura of dread. Unanticipated by the group, the castle is far from deserted, instead housing a reclusive former actor, Travis Anderson. Upon the recognition of Edith, his long-lost fiancée, Travis begrudgingly permits the group to use his castle as their artistic canvas, with one stern warning: the foreboding dungeons remain strictly off-limits. However, the group remains ignorant of the chilling secret that lurks within the castle's stone walls. Travis is not merely a retired actor but a man who believes he is the reincarnated spirit of a 17th-century executioner, bound by an ancient duty to safeguard his castle from interlopers. As the group delves deeper into their project, they unknowingly tread on the edge of a bloody pit of horror. Will they heed Travis's warning, or will their curiosity lead them into the depths of terror?
